A monster

A monster

A Poem by AdvisorGirl
"

I wrote this back in middle school. I got hurt a lot. So I wrote about myself. In a way this descirbed what I use to be.

"
Out of the corner of my eye I see and hear what you are doing.
You are gossiping, laughing, and sneering about how I am to you.

I sit alone everyday at lunch. I barely talk except to curse at you.
Each time I look at you with my dark eyes you back away.

I wear black as though it was my friend. I read things that make you scream.
You touch my pale skin and it feels like ice on a cold winter day.

My face is hideous enough to make you run in fear.
In your dreams you see my face haunting you for the rest of your life.

The hair is ragged like a crow ruffling it's feathers.
Its color is like waste it would make you sick if you were close to me.

Never in a lifetime has anyone come up to me to talk to me in kindness.
Always the same words," Die you Monster!"

At first it was shocking to hear that then I learned to silence myself.
People will always treat me with no respect.

For that is what I am.
A monster.

It's a bit harsh on yourself. Favorite line: "The hair is ragged like a crow ruffling it's feathers". It's written well.
