Mornings Gift

Mornings Gift

A Poem by Cre8tiveheart

Mornings Gift

I wake up early everyday, tip toe to my back door;
Eagerly step onto the porch
Close to nature now once more.

With a blanket wrapped around me, I sink down in a chair;
Awaiting for the dawn to unfold
A scene so beautiful, I can only stare.

I observe with pleasure, as the night
Fades gradually into day
The chill in the air starts to subside
Warmed by the sunshines golden ray.

Magnificent colors hang in the sky
It takes my breath away to look
The miracle of morning was Gods idea
Formed by his words was all it took

Purples, pinks, and shades of blue,
fill the blank canvas of heavens space.
A peaceful morning begins brand new,
A small gift shining on my face.

Later today if things get hurried
Or spiral gradually away from me
Ill have the ability to close my eyes
And remember this beauty I was blessed to see.

Your lovely poem I think has inspired me to stop waking up at 10am... lol.. and try for a little closer towards sunrise. I do forget the sheer beauty that time of day has to offer.
