Separate Ways

Separate Ways

A Poem by Cre8tive

Okay, so I stayed up for hours

Trying to figure out what to say

I mean, who would’ve thought that it would end this way?

Just saying at the beginning it was everything we made

But now, it’s no longer that great

It’s like it was predestined

And I tried to run from the irretrievable fate

I wanted to take your heart

And create something new

Forever we were, from the beginning I just knew

From the flash of your smile

And the sweet taste of your tears

My love for you never revered

However, as time elapsed

So did my heart

So I’m sitting here with two rocks

Trying to create a spark

As much as it pains me

To say

We are better off going our separate ways
