When I let you in monday night

I saw and felt our past again

There were times I saw you smile

And then things that neither of us fully understand

 

Growing up always seemed simple

I always knew you were the one

But I didn't know how to say it

And well now, you have already moved on

 

Throughout school

The timing wasn't there

We always seemed to switch

But still I could only watch you and amazingly stare

 

I didn't really comprehend at first

Why I compare everyone to you

Maybe cause you are my first

Or cause you now me; and know exactly what to do

 

Well as time passed

My feelings grew stronger

The timing was wrong, yes

But I couldn't hide it or hold back any longer

 

You know I would never come between

You and someone else

I wait patiently like always

And hope one day you will give me a glance

 

I didn't tell you

In hopes of you breaking up

Just to let you know what I;ve felt inside

And hope that with "us" you haven't given up

 

Throughout everything I want you to know

That I will always be here

Hopefully you will completely understand

How I really feel and know I am truly sincere
