An unexpected bond and feelings

Formed slowly but true

Granted timing isn't the best

But no one can judge- about anything we do

 

My barrier begins to crumble

At the sound of your words

Afraid of knowledge and power you possess

Thinking of completely taking down my walls is absurd

 

Talking with you is amazing

But still broken within

A place that is hard to let you go

But at one point, I must begin

 

I have learned to lock my heart

Deep, so no one can find

Helping to ease the pain

When I am left behind

 

It's astonishing

How you listen and understand

Not looking at me like a toy

As do most men

 

Letting you in deeper

Means losing more control

And giving you that power

Is what scares me the most

 

I feel I can trust you

With everything within me

But after so long of hiding

Makes it harder for you to see

 

It will take time

To full open up to you

But throughout eveything

I have complete faith and trust, in you

 

So please bear with me

In figuring out

How to let you inside

The best way I know how
