Simply beautiful, I loved this ‘we are all just… people’ This touched my heart and gave me goose bumps.
:) I can just say that your writing has improved so much. I think that we are going to have to write something together. ;) Keep up the amazing work CG!!!!! I missed you.

In the end, we all die, so labels seem so unnecessary, and too often hurtful. It is far better to spend our time sharing compassion, and love than draining our energy to come up with a title, or a name for others as too often that which is chosen ends up hurting the other. I like your thoughts....yes, we are all just...People!

We label everything. We label ourselves and each other. In some cases we bring labels upon ourselves. It doesn't make it right, because we are all people, just like you said.

The interplay and contrast between the differences and the shared core similarities of people is one of the most interesting aspects of humanity. We seem to alienate and befriend with equal satisfaction. Though it varies from group to group, person to person, of course.
This is something I've particularly found myself thinking about when it comes to the concept of war. Men killing each other, simply because they were drafted or happened to be born on one slab of land rather than another with a different name. When in another life they could have been drinking mates. Obviously I'm taking this to the extreme here, but hey.
I'm new here and I don't know who Danny is (though I have a vague idea from other posts), but he's clearly inspired quite a bit of love here. Best wishes.
I agree dear Poet.

Very lovely poem. We are all just people, no one person is greater or lesser than the other. Each person has the right to live freely as the next, regardless of anything.
A great message, you summed it up with a fresh perspective.
Good on ya!
Humanity in itself is one race. We are one...so why don't we act like it? I think everyone in the world needs to read this poem. It's so true; we're all just people. Another amazing write!!
