The Border Line

This is rather dark..

I don't know what's going on with my head,
Sometimes I wish I were dead.
I'm all alone, now.
I'm on my own, now.

Somedays i think I'm losing my mind,
I swear I'm running out of time.
And everyone keeps growing sly.
I don't know who to trust at night.

Yet my father thinks I'm fine.
And my mother thinks I'm on the border line.

My heart is pounding like drum,
I feel like I've been drinking rum.
My instincts are telling me to run,
But I hear whispers begging me to come.

Closer and closer,
They draw me near
Until they're shouting in my ear.

And I know I'm all alone now,
I know I'm on my own now.

But my father thinks I'm fine.
My mother thinks I'm on the border line.

Yes, my father thinks I'm fine.
My mother thinks I'm on the border line.

And as I feel my heart rate bounce,
The shadows all begin to pounce.
The darkness begins to keep me in
And I know that it's my sin.

I am being swallowed up,
There is no youth left in my cup.

And yet my father thinks I'm fine.
But I do know, I'm on the border line.

I sure enjoyed this! I read it like a song, but I really admire the powerful message you are trying to say. I feel a lot of people have felt this way, I sure feel like this a lot with each day...border line...such a powerful title...but nothing less than perfect :)
