Pain

I wrote this while very depressed..

I stuck a pebble in my shoe
Just so I could feel the pain
As I walked down the street.

Oddly relieving
Made me laugh like i was mad
And I liked it that way

I pierced my heart with a sword
Just so I would be ignored
As i silently cried.

Chopped into pieces
This is what they call heartbroken
No one cares besides...

Pain!
You are my love and life.

Pain!

You keep me awake at night.

I put pepper in my eyes
So i wouldn't see those lies
As I attempt to tell the truth.

Melting inside

Im flowing with the tide

I poured salt down my throat
So that I could choke
On the taste of hate.

Made me start thinking
Maybe I should start forgiving
All the people today

I hit my head with a book
So that nobody would look
At my hideous face.

Call myself ugly
Cuz I just ain't worthy
Of the people around me

I tied myself to a chair
My skin all raw and bare
As i watched the raven fly.

Staring out the window
Looking up at the sky
Hoping i would die

It's more of a song, but whatever.. It's not good because I was really mad at the time, and I was bawling, so.....

I was interested by your own comments as I certainly picked up on this lyric as being more of a song. A strange thought occurred to me....using pain to hide the pain.... perhaps that's what's happening here. A nice write ( : O )

Don't let it bother you a lot... It happens to everyone at one point of time.

It does have a lot of dark imagery in this poem... but we should remember, that after every dark night comes a bright dawn...

Yes, it's really really dark..
It's not like most of my other poems.
I don't know what the heck happened to make me write like that.
