I feel like I'm fading away
With tears in my eyes
I do begin to cry
My sight is blurring
I simply cannot lie
I feel like the song "The Scientist"
Has been written for me
But I'm scared of starting anew
I do not want to lose you
So slowly we grow apart
But just yesterday we were so close
And now I feel so far
I was indeed right
That I'd be looking back at then
As the good old days
I don't want you to leave
But it hurts to make you stay
If you asked me to describe myself with two words
I'd say "Sentimental fool"

Oh, I have felt this way with a few people before. Some friendships start so passionately and you get so close so fast, but then you grow apart as swiftly as well...To let go hurts, but to keep them hurts as well. Sometimes though it hurts much more to keep, setting free is a happier choice in the end.

This was very poignant, Cool Girl...your emotions shone through your words. It is very hard to let go...it's not in our nature to let go. This slow erosion, breakdown...however did it happen, we may never know. But no matter what, we still have the golden memories to cherish..to slowly dance with when it becomes all too suffocating
