For Me

A poem about my friend

Reach across the world
Just to touch my hand

Go out of your way
Just to be my friend

It's something that I truly do appreciate
Being besties with you was not a mistake

Sail through the sea of thoughts
Just to get to me

Grow a pair of wings
Just to be able to see

You've promised me a lot of things
One is that you will not leave

I know you are a part of me

Thinking the same way
We say "I love you" everyday

I know that this was meant to be

Cross a pit of fire
Just to catch my fall

Run a million miles
To save me from it all

I know you'd risk your life
To block a shot for me

And that is why I love you more than tea
(Eh I don't love tea that much, just needed a rhyme xD)

So please don't leave me hanging
Walk down the streets while banging

Singing "You are my friend"

Oh please don't leave my hanging
I'll walk with you banging

And shouting to the world
That you're my friend

Blessed are we to have a friend or two who would move mountains for us, because it is such a rare human quality nowadays. I hope you and your friend take good care of each other for as long as possible. This poem left me longing for a friend who would who would be there for me forever yet hopeful, because there are still people like that out there! They come at the right time.
