The Labyrinth InsideA Poem by Cool GirlA collaberation with A Ghost of Myself...
The darkness keeps me warm at night,
As I submerge into the labyrinth of my mind; The callous echo's drown out conscious thought, while him, her, and I conspire to co-exist as one. My thoughts are alive They form into hideous creatures But I adore them very much indeed For they are like my pets. Each twisted minion mutters in its own guttural tone; An ancient language boring into the depths my being. Failure, worthless, I'm the vessel in need of the crypt" My transgressions are beyond societal redemption. Beyond all the racket is a soft little voice, Saying, “you're useful, brilliant, and wonderful.” The voice is lost, as I let the darkness overwhelm me and take over my being. Alone, dismayed, and encased in the complexities of my psyche, I become subdued to the ill-intent, drawing from the well of woe. Sorrow laden and induced into a battle of will and spirit . . . A heart blackened by whispers, pulsating in a single beat. I no longer can fight it. I'm too lost in my thoughts Just another dark soul With my whole mind to roam. Navigation has become my plight in this desolate void, Extend your skeletal hand, give me guidance. I accept. And maybe then, we can find a way out A path that leads out of this misery. © 2015 Cool GirlAuthor's Note
