Jacub Baer reading off my computerA Story by Taylor M.My friend not minding his own business!Jacub Baer sat next to me in the computer lab. Looking away from my writing, I caught him gazing at my screen.
"What's that?" He asked, eyes fixed on the words I was typing on the screen. "It's the first chapter of my book." I said, feeling pride in my work. I had just finished editing a chapter, and it was pretty good.
"You're writing a book?" He asked. His voice was full of curiousity. I turned to look at him.
"What do you think WritersCafe is for?" I said. Motioning my eyes back towards the screen. "I can write Screen Plays, Books, Chapters for Books, Stories, Poems. I love it." He still looked a tad bit confused, so I opened the Story page.
"Here." I say, and I title the story Jacub Baer reading off my computer. Jacub laughs. After I type most of the story, he turns towards me.
"Are you gonna post this?" He asks.
"Do you want me to? Do you want to be famous Jacub?" To this question he doesn't reply, and he turns back to his French assignment. I look around. Everyone else is playing games, and here I am typing. © 2013 Taylor M. |
