Life

Life

A Poem by SingMeYourLullaby

Let's play a game
This game is called 'Life'
In this game you will lose
It is just a matter of time
The object of this game is unknown
Many think they know
And then there are those who don't care
Many quit half way through
Some cheat in this game
Some force others out
Me on the other hand
I desire not to play
Yet I do anyways
Each day a new type of misery
A new pain
A new scar
A new reason to wear my mask
Putting on a masquerade
Hiding my intentions
My emotions
My plans to get out of this game
Taking these pills
I lay and wonder
If finally this will be my last turn
If this will be the end
Of this fallacious game
This game called 'Life'
