Inconsiderate

Inconsiderate

A Poem by CrazyEllen

Did you think of us when you decided to leave

Decided to be free

When you needed reasons to stay did you ever think of the ones that would miss your presence

Could you have been so selfish as to not care about us

So blind not to have seen

What was right in front of you

Open your eyes

You could’ve gotten help

You could have gotten better

You could have survived this

They say everything happens for a reason

Yet in this moment I cannot believe that to be true

What reason could you have to justify your early departure

Were we not good enough

Were we not worth the fight

Did you not love us enough

Did you have to take the whole bottle

Did you have to leave us behind as

Forgotten memories

Of a dead women’s past?

You hold nothing back here, you spill it out and it can stand on its own. This is pure and authentic. And I am sure many people or families feel this way when someone leaves because of a need for space or time to think.

Speaks clearly to me. Not sure who you have written about here, but it spoke clearly to me about my own mother. Very honest write. Great work.

I can relate I've always had these kind of feelings about my mother. This poem is edgy and raw, full of emotions. Just as I like it. Great job.

Honestly I'm horrible at these about me things. I mean I know about me but when asked I just come up blank. Honestly I'm just a girl who enjoys writing and probably suck at it but I love to do it .. more..
