The storm

The storm

A Poem by Andria Peterson

All good things come to those who wait
So I sit here patiently and meditate
Whatever comes will be fate
Even if it appears very late

Silence is in the air
The wind picks up
I feel a storm brewing
I know that something's up

The trees sway harder
The birds are frantic
The bees are gone
It's a little erratic

The calm before the storm
Is now no longer
It has changed form
The breeze has grown stronger

I hear it loud and clear
My life is about to change
You say "do not fear"
And "welcome the new stage"

So I take a deep breath
Whatever will be, will be
I trust the universe
Surrender is key

Whatever is not serving me
Will be stripped away
To become like my higher self
Transformation is underway

I welcome the new me
With love in my heart
It's time for you all to see
It's time for a restart

As the psalmist says, be still and know. Sometimes waiting in faith is better than trying to force things.
