The title says it all.

She invites you to a play
But it is not a date
It's for her to feel safe
You're with other couples
They ask if you're her boyfriend
She says no he's just a friend
You just smile and grin
But deep within
You want to scream
Nothing is what it seems
This is what you get
for being the safe friend
It's not gonna end
until you tell her
your true feelings then
You can't let this go on
You have to move along
Stop debating
And try internet dating
Maybe create a profile
On Match dot com
You want a companion
and you're full of compassion
Your favorite movie is "The Passion"
Until then stop being the friend
and look for a woman
who will love you till the end
