Letter To Keira Knightley

Letter To Keira Knightley

A Poem by Crazy Cat Man

Keira Knightley and Nicole Richie
Used to be nice and plumpy
and now they're both skinny and skrawny

Mary Kate and Ashley Olson
Used to be so wholesome
and now the wind can blow them

What is happening to today's world?
When every child want's to be a skinny girl?
They eat a lil food then want to hurl

Little girls look up to their stars
They want to be skinny just as they are
So they refuse to eat then starve

I had a girl that thought she was too fat
but her small blubber was fun to grab
but she didn't want to hear that

Spain made their models to gain some weight
To join the catwalk the girls have to eat cake
A whole chicken they just ate

If Marilyn Monroe was alive
she would not be a model
They will tell her to go away and not even bother

Too many girls want to be super thin
I don't want to make love to a stick
So each girl must look from within

Is your beauty worth dying for?
You are starting to look like Skelator
I hope you start eating some more

So this is my letter to Keira Knightley
I am asking very politely
My hopes on her gaining weight is unlikely

She is now just skin and bones
What is wrong with her skin tone?
She looks like a ghost

I mean what is wrong this?
She looked like she came from the abyss
Oh the old her how much I miss

This is great poem on a subject that not to many people touch on. It's such a tough thing for many girls, and it's sad to see so many young celebrities influencing other young girls to starve themselves as well. This was poem was simple and easy to read, with even a touch of irony and humor, which I think works well. It is such a dark subject... the humor brightens it up a bit and makes it easier for people to understand the truth about it. Thanks for writing this, it is refreshing to hear a male's perspective on the subject. (I don't know why I'm assuming you're a man, but I can't really tell since your name is "Notorious Reviewer", so if I'm wrong, I'm sorry and please correct me :D).

I think you wrote about important topic. We do not know why they are able to be so skinny. I read that drugs (crystal meth) makes skinny. It is the industry, what creates a fashion and it is about having the mental strenght not do do everything what others want us to do. I also can imagine: it must be horrible to be famous.

I thought this poem was pretty funny and I agree with you about the tendency for famous actresses to starve themselves into ugliness. I also enjoyed the He-Man reference, great job.

This is an awesome poem! You bring to light a very important but unfortunate characteristic about our society today. There is so much pressure to look a certain way. Young girls and even women are told to be themselves and to be happy with who you are. Yet, this is a difficult task when some of the individuals telling us this are these same skin and bones.

Being as i myself am also a girl i totally agree. Girls should be seen for thier individual strong points, if the media is telling me and every other girl to disapear everytime we turn sideways then i say i'd rather be pleasantly plump! i dont know about anyone else but i dont want to look like Paris Hilton, Keira Knightley or anyother model who stares back at me through the pages of fashion magazines.

Maybe she is actually one of those live/dead pirates from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies?

Geez, that picture you put with this is hideous! I cant believe "hollywood" thinks that look is cool. Shes like a stick. If a person screwed her too fast the friction might make her catch on fire...HA!

Nice write and I liked the rhymes. Healthy looking women rule!
Thanks for sharing.

I am glad you said this. I hate the fact everyone wants to be a stick. I think modling would be fun, but you can't eat so I say forget them.

Yes, this is a problem for most of us girls...a constant battle with our bodies to mold and form them into the Hollywood ideal. Especially these days, there are so many of those "super skinny" types that have given the wrong ideals to the youth of this country. This is a good topic to address...that girls can allow thier bodies to be "normal and healthy" and still be loved by men.

Ohhh how I agree with you! I really do not want a woman that I have to worry about breaking if I hug her. There are NO more people left for our young people to look up to today. No one out there feels any resposability to do the right thing for the sake of their public. They get too skinny for the sake of their image, or go out and do drugs because they do not care about their image. It is all screwed up.
You address the topic of setting a wrong example so very well in your poem. Nice job.
