The Guyfriend

The Guyfriend is every girl's Bestfriend
He is there to hold your hand
He is there to understand
He is there to listen to your crap
He will pretend to care
He will say 'there there'
when you start to cry
But deep down inside
He wants you to be his wife
Instead he lies
to be by your side
he makes many calls
but he doesn't have the balls
to ask you out on a date
too bad its too late
He made a mistake
by playing it safe
He keeps missing his chance
He should've asked you to the dance
Now he's crying at your wedding
he wished that it should've been him
instead of that prick
is what he thinks
so now he drinks
to forget the pain
he's going insane
he tattooed your name
and your to blame
You shouldn't have lead him on
but you turned him on
and now his mind is gone
what did he do wrong?
he didnt belong
so he's saying so long
to this cruel world
because you wouldn't be his girl
His is the guyfriend
Every girl's non-dream

This reminds me of the movie, "My Bestfriend's Wedding". But, unlike the movie, this piece has a sad ending. This still mirrors real stories in actual setting. Funny it may seem, but it's just so sad. I enjoyed this. Keep writing.

Every once in a while, a marriage works out and lasts. Perhaps it is a coincidence of timing when the guyfriend actually gets the balls to step up at the same time the girl somehow sees past the self created bullshit.
