Lord, those pictures are truely frightening, if thats what stardom does to you, keep it, and to think her so called husband does nothing about her care.............your piece sums up in descriptive words a woman with so much talent, but on a path of self destruction. Lets hope re hab turns her life around.

You have such a gift for haiku responses as well as morbid commentary on life. You simply must write more haiku to which I can respond. - Perhaps this part was not clear - this is a reference to another poem that was dropped here out of sheer apathy and disorderly conduct.

well, i'll be honest: i don't really like Amy Winehouse. I'll admit she does have an amazing voice, but other than that, i can't say there's anything aobut her i repsect or like.

about the acrostic itself, though, you picked some really vivid words as descriptive adjectives, which is always nice to see. you used a few too many l's in "mutilated" and "soulful" but that was the only sort of mistake i saw. nice little acrostic.

Yes I have to agree with Rachel, so true. This piece is so daunting. Such a sad story, but her music reaches me like no other, it is so sad to see her wasting away. The pictures are very sad to look at. I hope she comes out of it.

Its such a shame that tortured souls make great music. You only have to look around writerscafe to find the same (metaphorically speaking). I agree with Deni, I have never wanted fame and these sort of images just increase that disgust. Even worse it was the media that caused this metamorphisis .... they said she was fat and she listened. Well said honey. Mx
