Cheater Part 2

A poem based upon a friend of mine who basically has a side girl even though he's engaged to get married. He told me to not tell anyone but I wrote this poem about him :P

You're engaged to get married
You found the girl of your dreams
While she is sleeping
You go out creeping
To try to sniff another girl's panties
You tell me me to keep it a secret
Your cheating is discreet
Your future wife will never know about this
You meet your mistress
And you lock lips
Your hand up her dress
And you caress her a*s
Damn you're bad
She likes being the other one
You're just having some fun
But if your fiance finds out
Then your engagement is done
So sad that there's no trust
You're driven by lust
You love the thrill of a chase
Thats why you stay out late
Your fiance doesn't know how you behave
She must be naive
Oh well this is your deliberate choice
But if you get caught
You will say you made a mistake
And you'll beg her to take you back
You cry and say you wont do it again
If she accepts then i'll wish you luck then
Don't expect me to say "Congratulations"
when you are finally married
But if she leaves you
You will be left in devastation

Well, my friend, here's the essence of your poetry, the perfect attack to a wrong phenomenum (sadly too often practised) of our society ! You should really pubblish your poems, I'm sure they'd touch the conscience of many people and maybe, why not, CHANGE THINGS !

Sadly a very common practice these days. Maybe it always has been. But - betcha this girl already knows. See - us chicks have an ever running BS meter going on in the background. We don't always know it is there until we hit a certain point, snag, age, issue... then we realize - Ahhh! That is where that inner knowing comes from. and from then on we learn to trust our intuition... which we don't always to do 'cause - well we don't wanna. BUT... that meter? Aaaaaalways runnin'. One day - she's gonna have to go change the tape and she'll remember she knew all along! Oh and him!? He ain't gonna change so love him or not, it's who he is. Dang! I am jaded and cynica? (Or is it wise and sage?) Going with the 2nd one.

No ur not cynical. ur just observant. we just need to look deeper into someone if we like them.....if they are showing huge flaws and no plans to change then we must lust to discard them. We are blinded by sex and looks. the sex might be incredible but thats not enough to be a dysfunctional relationship. this poem got inpsired by a friend who stayed a week in a farm in a mentally abusive and sometimes physical abusive relationship with a very good looking Jock guy......she unleashed everything to me and I said.....why did u take this abuse.....then i said its becuz hes very good looking right and she got quiet....... shes slowly learning to let it go......at this point i dont care anymore. my heart has gotten cold

Ahhh - well that is sad... that the experience of others has turned you this way. I am often cynical outwardly, but the truth is - I try to find something redeeming in all experiences, most especially the bad ones. This way, I am stronger and wiser for it, and see the experience as serving something other than "self". This has saved my sanity time and again, and has kept me from becoming bitter when I see the self-centered behavior often displayed by others. Also, I am guilty of bad behavior myself at times. Not that I wake up and say "I'm gonna cause chaos today, but sometimes, my baser self just - wins". And where I see it, I amend and atone to the best of my ability. I think people are basically good. Truly. But we do have a bent towards self-service - it's a tough one to overcome. I believe that very few are truly bad and walk through life with the intent to harm. Most times, it's thoughtlessness which is more lack of practice of virtue rather than lack of having any. Just my "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm" outlook at times. (Though you'd never know that to read most of my stuff!)

:) i appreciate your optimism. im in a pessimistic mode now. but ill get out of it. but when im sad or angry...ill let myself be that way then it slowly fades away.....its a lot of energy to be so angry all the time.

It's highly unfortunate that he's choosing to live this life, but...some men will just be dogs forever I guess /:
But onward to the poem review... lol. This was well written and I'm glad that you could get your feelings of frustrations out through this VS doing something that you'd end up regreting (ex. letting it slip to someone etc etc).
This poem was a bit more serious then your average and I also enjoyed that too. It's different than most of your poems.
Keep it up and keep writing(: And I hope your buddy comes to his senses and realizes how high his stakes are.

my friend saw the mad face on my expression. he was like 'whats wrong"> it was strange we went out then he said dont mention anyone about this then i saw him grabbing and holding hands with another girl. So sad. he would hate it if his girl did that with some dude

Nope we cant. I cant really put myself in a mindset of someone who would want to do that. If I am happy with someone then i wouldnt want to betray their trust. I guess he loves her. but just needs to cheat. its the mentality of some men. they love the girl but it just too damn horny and selfish and feels the need to bang another chick.....then go back to their main squeeze.

Great poem - nasty situation. Being cheated on is horrible and honestly, until it happens to you, you won't understand. No trust. :/
