A poem on how old I am :P

Sorry little teens
I don't want to be mean
But I don't want to read
Poems about your boyfriends
I don't care if you think he's cute
It makes me want to puke
I don't care about his looks
I'm getting really annoyed
I don't enjoy
reading poems about boys
I hope that you can understand
That I'm a 31 year old man
I don't give a damn
about your favorite bands
You complain about your parents
I'm working to pay my apartment
You complain about school
I was once there too
Sorry if I'm too harsh
I'm just speaking from the heart
I know you think I'm an old fart
I was once young as you are
Sorry but I can't review
I can't really relate
Because I'm way older than you
Thanks for understanding teens
maybe next when you're older
You will know how I will feel

Even as a young girl just out her teens , i can say i agree with you but doting poems of love and mininal worries weren't ever anything that caught my eye. It irritates me more than anything the things that children my age complain about it sets a very bad example for the rest of us teenage writers who can actually write about a subject other than there other halves or some complaint about how everything is somewhat more unfair than the years before them.
A lovely piece. Brilliantly written. Really enjoyed it
