Sinner

Sinner

A Poem by CrazyAnnie

A black cloud follows me through the trees

Hovering over me like a Vulture

I'm trying to follow the light of serenity

But it's so easy to stop and hide

It's pitch black

Not a sound in the air

Why must I feel so alone

How did I get off the path

Why did I want to explore

It's so dark here

I can't even see my idle hands

I walk through knee-high mud just trying to move

I'm getting tired

A dead Peacock lies before me

Such a pity

The vivid music of its bright feathers all matted and caked with blood

It's a tragedy

This beautiful animal to be all torn up

What is lurking out here in these woods

I want to go home

There's an angel ahead of me but I do not dare call out

I'm terrified

The black velvet surrounds me

I'm being swallowed into the deepest, darkest pit

Gasping and bleeding, I fight back

The angelic screams I let out shoots a blast of the whitest of light

The angel hears me

It all happened so quick

Paradise, here I come.

This is really good, I think we all venture out in life and most of us never consider the consequences of it. I love the ending the way the death or tranferrance occured. Well done.

I loved the imagery, the emotion and the way it came out in your writing.
