Pool Party

Pool Party

A Poem by CRP

My friend invited me

And all our friends

To a pool party

And said

"Let's have some fun."

But how can I

Have any fun

When I am slowly sinking

As everyone else

Swims right above me?

I can see them

All very close

They're just above me-

But out of reach.

When I try

Calling for help

All that come out

Are little air bubbles

No one can hear me.

It hurts even more

As I slowly sink

Knowing they could help

If they only knew,

If only they looked down,

If only they saw.
