You're Back?

I watch the show Sherlock, and this poem popped into my head while I was watching the show.

I thought I had seen your face

For the very last time.

I thought that

You would never come back.

I had cried.

And I had mourned.

I thought you had

Disappeared forever.

 

But now you're

Back.

You say you're just

Fine.

You act like you hadn't

Just been gone

For all this time.

 

I don't know whether to

Hug you

Or strangle you.

But I do know

I missed seeing you.

I missed you being right there

Next to me.

I just ..

Missed you.

 

I know that

I just can't

Stay mad at you.

I can't

Stand

To be apart from you

When I know that

You're still alive

And perfectly fine.

 

Please.

Don't leave me again.
