Following Your Heart

I was inspired to write this poem after I was asked one day, 'Who do you like?' i really didn't have an answer...ah well, hope you like it!!!

Make up your mind.
You need to get things straight.
Do you like him?
Your brain says no.
Your heart says yes.
You hate him?
But why?
Maybe it's because he's been taken away,
Maybe it's because you can't get your arms around him,
Just like his girlfriend did.
You know it's true.
No more excuses.
Admit it.
Stop denying yourself.
You like him.
A lot.
Follow your dreams.
Follow your heart.
What are you waiting for?
Make up your mind.
Get things straight.
Do you like him?
Your brain says no.
Your heart says yes.
Stop fooling yourself.
Go out there and get him.
Follow your heart.

Hard to decide when heart and mind on different roads. I like the way you described the battle to go forward or do nothing. Last line can be dangerous. Old heart can trick you. Always know what you are getting yourself into. A excellent poem.
