Muted in Shallow Waters

Muted in Shallow Waters

A Poem by KL

If you tap on the glass enough times
maybe it'll break
and you can fall through
and disrupt whatever circuitry is malfunctioning inside
informing the robot that you can't handle the energy.
If you fall with intention
maybe you will submerge
and breathe in all but oxygen
or perhaps you will evolve and swim all night
because even at rock bottom, you will never understand
the true importance of being beautiful:
absolutely nothing in the heart
and the entire world for the eyes

Short, concise... love the message and imagery. I would be wary of starting too many lines with "and", but otherwise, I don't really have anything to offer up for this one. Interesting piece, as usual (in a good way, I promise). c:

The poem is very solid like Hedra Helix said. It short but the words are precise, and work well together.

those last two lines are killer. super solid little poem ;) the picture almost does it injustice, its like a brick just words alone.

i love the way it's written and the fact that i'm able to search for the meaning of it. there are a few possible meanings in my head, which i all can relate to it. it's intruiging.

I want you to explain this to me..it's so ambigious..I read it three times...I think I understand and then I second guess myself..I love it when a poem confounds me...you devil!!!!
