Watching a sunset in the highlands of Nicaragua, sitting on a swing bench on a coffee farm with no electricity and no running water... just the sounds and sights of the jungle around us.
Imagine everything you've ever imagined
captured in an ember
glow
Golden spires, fading hill
emerald pierced by a
lancing throw
See it, touch it, taste it, be it
watch the colours
change it slow
Want it, love it, have it, make it
take what's here and
have it show
through hands and eyes and nature's soul not through words in a painter's bowl for love is here and love is whole and whole is I, so off I go!
There is nothing more invigorating, restoring, soothing and calming than Nature in its primal state! Since we are all deeply rooted in Nature's soil, for that's the place where we are truly at home and where we find rest.
We should all cherish and value each moment and Mother Nature much more ...
Poem and photo is beautiful. I spend two years in Central American. Your words brought me back to good and quiet nights where there was no electric and little noise to disturb the peace of the night. A outstanding poem. Thank you.

This is good, and the photograph is excellent. My only real critique is in this first stanza, when you say "Imagine everything you've ever imagined..." I don't like seeing a word repeated, especially when the English language gives you a thousand different ways to say everything. Other than that, this is a nice little paradoxical piece of poetry that captures the feelings conveyed on the writer by Miraflor.
