Stay Inside.

Stay Inside.

A Poem by Unforgettable1230

Nauseated.

I can't take this.

You make me want to stay inside.

Excuses.

It's too cold.

Secretly, I'm terrified.

I'm not strong enough.

I don't want to go out.

I don't want to see you

with her.

damn it. this is wonderful. at one point, i thought the piece would hold no relevance... and then there was that subtle and delicious rhyme that ended with "terrified" - that was fantastic. and then the ending? a punch in the f-in gut. I know this feeling. I remember (sometimes I still do) driving down main street with my hands clutching that wheel and my eyes darting about. I'll still never forget the day he actually was there, driving the other way, with her in the passenger seat laughing and flipping her hair. It still haunts me.

So you captured that beautifully. I love it. And the brevity of it made it all the more powerful.

Hi. Nice to meet you.

Hugs
