Empty Streets

Empty Streets

A Poem by Sherratt133

The street-lights brighten the path home,
The warmth inside fights the icy bone,
I'll be back some other day.
But what if I don't return to this evil plane.
Give in to the icy chill,
Streets demand you kill,
He watches silently sighing,
The wheel still turns,
Candle still burns,
I hear some angels crying.
Let me drift off into my darkened mind,
I fear that misery is all that I will find,
Don't know if I'll be back tomorrow.
I'm truly sorry for causing all this sorrow.
Give in to those who will,
Street devours those without skill,
He watches silently sighing,
The wheel slows its turning,
Turns out that they are learning,
I hear the demons lying.
The street-lights brighten the path home,
The warmth inside fights the icy bone,
I'll be back some other day.
But what if I don't return to this evil plane.
Give in to the icy chill,
Streets demand you kill,
He watches silently sighing,
The wheel still turns,
Candle still burns,
I hear the demons lying
Angels crying,
Demons lying,
I don't believe I'm flying
He watches sighing.
'Cause you've been defying.
Selling your soul.....Satan's buying
Deal is done.....Your humanities dying.
You know what I'm implying.
