Hardly A Prince Charming

Let me introduce myself,

I'm the one left on the shelf,

They say my behaviour's alarming,

I'm, the one, the best, Prince Charming.

 

I'm causing a reaction,

They'll take a course of action,

Don't waste your breath, I'm not finished

Now lets get down to business.

 

I'm the one who causes fights,

I'm that blackened, stormy night.

Strike fear into babies' eyes,

Of sorts, A devil in disguise.

 

Begin to stroll into town,

Turn your world upside-down.

Fun turns to trouble and strife,

A small joke to a switchblade knife.

 

I'll start opposition.

I'll make an observation.

Make your compromise.

Swat them down like flies.

I'm the one who causes fights,

I'm that blackened, stormy night.

Strike fear into babies' eyes,

Of sorts, A devil in disguise.

I'll just take another bullet; shall I?

You'd love to see me cry.
See you on the other side,
But I haven't yet died.

Strike me in the face with your fist,
Now your at the top of my list,
I provoke people with my face.
Now its blood I can taste.

Wow great just wow :O
I love the depth of the poem itself and the words just jump out of the page at me.
The whole switchblade knife bit is very powerful.
And the chosen title suits nicely with the over all content of the poem.
Very powerful, very deep and very dark.
