Thoughts for Mother's DayA Poem by Danny DelphI wrote this for Mother's Day last year. I wouldn't drive across town to buy a card so I wrote my own. I knew Mom would cherish words from my heart more than any store bought card anyway. Enjoy!Thoughts for Mother’s Day By: Daniel J. Delph I remember hearing of you Singing a joyful noise Celebrating my debut Expressing your heartfelt joys Of motherly love so true You always made the time To hear my hopes and dreams To comfort any fears of mine No matter how I hurt it seems You made it turn out fine We didn’t have an easy road Few of us ever do Your support lightened my load And carried me on through For I reaped what you sowed I doubt I expressed appreciation As much as I should have For all the hard work you put in Your dedication is steadfast And I say “Thank You” again Throughout all of God’s tests Your unwavering faith has remained And with God’s grace you are blessed Your devotion has never waned For Mother’s Day I say you’re the best © 2011 Danny DelphAuthor's Note
