The Weather Is Changing

The Weather Is Changing

A Poem by Coyote Song
"

This is not about global warming or climate change. I believe in neither. The weather has always been changing, it doesn't suffer from stagnation.

"
Yesterday
it was warm
the sky was bright and blue
the breeze was warm
green leaves gently fluttered
flowers bobbed and bowed under the winds influence

today
I'm walking through a heavy down power
it is so cold I feel I need gloves
the wind is whipping about
the sky is dark grey
almost night black
tree leaves are almost torn from their limbs
I huddle in the storm
lightening flashes
thunder rumbles
I race along the sidewalk
not caring if I look stupid
I just want to get home

80 degrees yesterday
54 degrees next
How the weather, she is changing
Like the child I was one upon a time
I hope for snowfalls
this winter
such as my grandmother use to tell me about

Yeah

Excellent piece. I like the imagery and topic of weather changing quickly. Cool touch at the end, snow has been few here where I live each Winter lately, not like in the old days. Very nice pen upon this piece.

So very true. The weather here changes quicker than I can change my mind. This was a very well written piece. I remember listening to the wise ones before discussing the weather and how often it changed.
