Last Flower

Last Flower

A Poem by Coyote Song

I stand here
 gazing at
that last flower
slightly faded
bobbing in a chilly wind
I feel kinda sad
because I know
it isn't long
before the weather turns cold
freezing
and I know
that then
that last flower
will die

.

Nicely done. There is beauty in all seasons.

Thanks.
A very beautiful poem. The touch of sadness I sense I think we all probably do when winter approaches and all the lovely summer flowers started to fade and die in the onslaught of the cold chills. Wonderful work.

Strong imagery, I like your pen upon this piece.
The beauty of flowers is one of nature's gifts. At least they return when Spring blooms.
