Leap Of Faith

Leap Of Faith

A Poem by Coyote Song
"

Written for the group SHADES OF DARKNESS: Reoccurring nightmares is the theme.

"
water around me
water rushing by
waves splashing
water level
rising higher and higher
dare I leap to dry ground
do I have the nerve
the water, filled with trash
oily blood and filth
goes by so slowly
I can't avoid seeing this horror
water rising higher
I must now jump
if I want to escape
I'd swallow my fear
I take a deep breath
and leap......

Good to leap of faith. To test life allowed us to know what we can do and accomplished. I like the description and the desire in the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Thanks so much.
A very true nightmare. Sounds like a real disgusting place to be trapped. That will give you the faith to jump!

Fearing the leap it will take to escape such a horrible situation would take faith. Staying in such a situation would be like the ultimate nightmare come true. A truly frightening dream!

A horrifying situation, nicely penned. Drowning must be a horrible way to die, you've captured the horror of possible drowning and the desire to escape, nicely done.
