Urban Sickness

Urban Sickness

A Poem by Coyote Song
"

There is no limit to where human trash shows up.

"
Walking across the sandy soil
with seagulls
winging above me
I gaze out to the ocean
The Pacific is lovely
greenish grey waters
rolling toward shore
and unending cycle
the beach is my favorite place
crab and seashells
dotting the damp sand
then I come across
an empty Coors beer can
slightly dented
and I frown
humans uncaring
leaving their trash everywhere
why can't they throw it away
every where in natures wild places
human trash
the sickness of the urban places
has no limits
to its ugly reach
I sigh
and continue on my walk

Thank you Eric.
It is amazing the amount of waste that we leave behind as humans. The world can be a beautiful place as long as we remember to clean up after ourselves. This was wonderful.
