Shining Armor

Shining Armor

A Poem by Eliza Pleasant
"

Will this girl ever find her man in armor? Enjoy!

"

I'm too scared to sleep.

Everything could be wrong when I wake up.

Ellie is coaxed asleep.

No one to hold me.

I want a hug.

Big man shows up.

He's holding back tears.

Trying not to worry me.

Too late.

My tears flow freely.

"Hush,baby."

I'm not a little girl.

Too many things have hardened me.

"It's your fault. Keep it a secret."

My heavy heart brings me down.

Worst night ever.

Can't forget it.

Others forget.

I'm all alone.

Where's my knight?

I always think that personal-emotional writing is beautiful whether it is sad, hysterical, or otherwise. I may not know what exactly this story is about, however I think I could feel every emotion through it.
