Not Meant to Be

Not Meant to Be

A Poem by Eliza Pleasant
"

A spur of the moment poem. Enjoy!

"

I loathe you.

Our lips touch.

No one could love you.

Our bodies embrace.

How can you live?

I curl your hair around my fingers.

You are an abomination to this world.

Our eyes meet.

You have to kill me.

Your wonderful eyes sparkle.

Because I love you.

A poem of two voices with the emotions of love and hatred. I can see the picture of a person struggling to break free from the embrace of the other. Nice.

I like how the conflicted the entire poem is between love and hate. It is definitely unique and sometimes i suppose we do feel that way. for a spur of the moment poem I thought it was very well written and it captures the readers imagination. great poem!

Well now, I am not sure what it is that I like about this poem , I am sure I like it.. the contrast in it of love and hate and it just works very well.. it is precise and yet it has a little mystery as well..

for a spur of the moment poem, i think its pretty good. i like the contrasts of each line. there is always a fine line between love & hate & i think this poem shows that. good write.

It is said there is a thin line between love and hate... very nicely described here.
