Cupid's Rebuttal

Cupid's Rebuttal

A Poem by MMC

Mortal who rejects amour,
Your silly request I shall ignore.
On close inspection you will find,
My hand wavers, my eyes are blind.
I cannot see where arrows fall,
They land whither they are called.
For my arrows I don't guide,
Where they land, I don't decide.
I deal in matters of the heart
But I am not where emotions start
If you don't wish to feel love true
I'm not the one you should speak to
Converse with your mind, talk with your coeur
If a loveless life you wish to endure.
