Save Me

Save Me

A Poem by G. Anderson

Mindless chattering around me,

from voices and souls who do not care.

From people whose vision is clouded, misty,

and ignorant.

Idiots.

Only caring about themselves, never

stopping to think or look around.

Mouths louder than emotions.

Yearning for attention,

while those around them suffer and break

under waves after  crashing waves of anger,

anticipation, and deep depression.

They're so...desensitized.

Oblivious of destruction,

waiting for the day when they can speak

freely and openly,

when in fact,

that day shall never come.

Save me.

Make the senseless noise and jabber

dissolve into the background before it's too late.

Initiating thoughts of death and giving up,

fistfuls of fury outsretched to a Lord who

never

answers.

And I'm falling.

Nothing makes sense anymore,

my thoughts are broken and fragmented,

sounding much like a broken record

that never sounded pleasant in the first place.

Just save me.
