Knees to Floor

Knees to Floor

A Poem by G. Anderson
"

Whatever. I really don't give a s**t anymore.

"

The streams of crimson sorrow,
they well and gush
deeper every time.

I dream of your breathtaking face.
Crying. Stumbling.
Somnolent in pain and anguish.

The night grows deeper.
I fall onto my knees.
They crack into the floor.

And I breathe no more.

I like how the first line is red, like you see the blood but then the rest is fading into death and darkness. Also, love that you used somnolent--not a lot of people even know the word and it's one of my secret favorites. It's a good piece altogether.
