A Poem by Courtney

I can see everyone else around me moving, but I can't.
I can see everyone else around me breathing, but I can't.
I watch everyone feel full of life, full of peace.
I sit in this dark, emotionless room and try to make the walls give me hope.
I sit in this suffocating, caged in room and tell myself I can't do this anymore.
I need to get out. But I can't.
I can't move, and I can't breathe.

So often we feel entrapped by our world... You are not alone in feeling that you cannot escape. The poem expresses well that imprisonment that wants the freedom and gaiety of life outside.
