The Day You were Fingerprinted

The Day You were Fingerprinted

A Poem by CourtniRenee
"

Criminal love

"
The day you were fingerprinted
they let you come home
with no fault. The ink
stayed on your fingers
for days. No suds could wash you
clean. However
when you touched me, you left
evidence of your crimes. Black
marks tracked up my thighs and
down my hips, dark on my pale
skin like rabbit feet in new
fallen snow. Waking, I found you
fresh and pure while I
had taken your sins.

This is so vivid & imaginative, I can see & feel this scene, along with a tinge of naughtiness lingering in the background. I love the intriguing contrast between bad boy & good lovin'! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Gee
If only I could write this well. Very few on this site can.... " like rabbit feet in new fallen snow" love that.

This was great! For the first six lines, I thought it had to do with bringing a newborn home. You show a lot of depth of feeling with your words and show a lot of pain and disappointment. Nicely done.

How like us women to absorb everything around us and leave it cleaner than before we got there, forgiving and overlooking, tending and consoling... I relate so strongly to this. I have so much to say, but I don't want to take away from how nicely you've written it. It brings up a lot of memories for me. Great job

The biggest crime is that this hasn't garnered any reviews!!
I love your turn of phrase and the way you mold a scene with your words, and what scenes!
