The Flower, The Honey BeeA Poem by Courtney EdwardsThe flower,
Beautiful, bound to the foundation In which it receives life, rooted.
Driven by the outside forces that keep it alive. Alive, to live, to sprout, to mature, to blossom.
Pedals, alluring, angelic, yet delicate to the touch. Not a single one is less vibrant than the other
Sensitive center, the most important piece. Regardless of the condition it always awaits
The honey bee,
A born attraction between the two. A mutualistic relationship they both share.
One without the other cannot thrive, and together they achieve insurmountable feats.
Yet selfish not they are, as to those that surround them augment in the same fashion.
Bound by fate, the flower and the honey bee. Now let's just see if you and I resemble thee. You the flower, and I the bee. © 2013 Courtney EdwardsReviews
