Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Courtney
"

Just something I wrote while bored in class!

"
As the blood drips onto the floor,
I can see a golden light.
My choice will last forevermore
Which stains the purified white

Veil that has become my being.
It calls to question how I,
One who is constantly fleeing,
Can make a choice to slip by

The barred restraints of time? What now
Can be known of the unknown
When the weakest can allow
The fight of life to be thrown?

I learned to question ev'rything
The moment that I realised
The world works as a broken wing
Yet is oftentimes disguised

As an eagle flying above
Our heads. We will never know
The clairvoyance that comes with love!
A lore from so long ago...

The uncertainty comes rushing
From my mind; a jumbled mess,
A world of confusion, crushing
And diminishing 'til less

And less people can know the grace.
The simple joys that are thrown
into the sea of nature's race
Are left to sleep, to die, alone.

As the past, I shall close my eyes.
I will accept my fate here,
My life's blood draining from the lies
That our culture did adhere.

Goodbye my life, Goodbye my will.
I say unto you, do not
Allow your heart to beat so still.
There's a battle to be fought!

I leave you this as a guideline,
For now it is your duty
To take my axe as I resign
And allow me die in peace.

Forgive me for your new burden.
'Though my tolerance is high,
I cannot bear the pain again.
Allow me to say goodbye...
