The Siren

The Siren

A Poem by Courtney

Nymph calls you from inside the well
Luring to the unknown.
Each charming note pulls toward the swell
That darkness did condone.
The slender form with flawless face
Beckons you to stray
Into her seductive embrace
Of tempting, misty grey.
Alluring beauty flusters you,
The choice is yours to make.
Immoral standards fighting through
And set your soul to break
Succumbing to the Siren's song
Will separate the weak from strong.

I Like It! The use of nymph folklore is great, but the poem by itself is entertain!

Ahh...the perils of temptation!!! Surface beauty is the sweetest seduction...the calling of one's desire to delve into something unknown just to see if it tastes as good as it looks. Satisfaction doesn't always lie in the fulfilled desire, but if it was worth giving in to. Great piece and thanks for sharing:)
