Longing for Death

Longing for Death

A Poem by Courtney

Fragile petals from the sky
Falling to your feet
Plunge the knife, allow to die
Nothing to compete

Fall to knees and face your shame
Offer up your soul
Beg forgiveness; clear your name
Diamonds shine through coal

Murder yourself to move past
As the only way
Broken bones with splinted cast
To remove someday

As I'm longing for death, to see the sun
You stole my life which depression does run

Very gripping work from the start. The line about "diamonds shine through coal" is probably one of my favorites as I like similies. Extremely good work!

Thanks so much! :)
Very... silencing. I grabbed my attention and forced out all other thoughts. As usual you have wrought a beautiful masterpiece. Very well done.
