Cadaver

Cadaver

A Poem by Courtney

Crimson outline stains the ground
Lifeless form lies still
Cadav'rous eyes dart around
Vengeance to fulfill

Never cease til work is done
Fear and pain at hand
Viciously until it's won
Ticking grains of sand

Corpse now rises to it's feet
Towering above
Charging at you down the street
Disguised now as love

Sanity falls as morals sway
Took your leave; why didn't you stay?

Now one might ask if this is something of the birth of an Avenging Angel? What I want to know is the muse behind the image the words pant with such broad strokes.

Dark and interesting. I loved your rhyme scheme.

Good job.
