Eternal Sleep

Eternal Sleep

A Poem by Courtney

Cerulean skies above
Covered now by cloud
Silenced chirping of the dove
Swallowed by the crowd

Panicked breath as surface breaks
Eyes flitter around
Never so high were the stakes
Last breath's dying sound

Final goodbyes to be said
Moments now are few
'Fore you know it, you are dead
None else left to do

Release your soul; eternal sleep
Accept your fate through fear you weep

"Release your soul; eternal sleep
Accept your fate through fear you weep"

These are very powerful lines.
It makes one think so deep.
