Internal Recession

Internal Recession

A Poem by Courtney

This day has turned black
I feel wracked with depression
Motivation to lack
During internal recession

My smile has all but disappeared
I struggle to fake one at all
My mind is nothing; cannot be cleared
In a deep pit, began I to fall

Even that which I most adore
Cannot calm what lies inside
My motivation is here no more
Right now a monster to reside

I wish I could free myself from this torment
Before it began it's ravaging torrent

I like the way you write it. Though it has a heavy content, It's just short, light and easy to read. Are you feeling like this for real?

That was my goal, adding simplicity to a heavy thing. I did write as I feel.

:) haha thank you ^-^ just made it better
For such a heavily topic, you've avoided the tackiness that works its way into these kind of writings...well done there.
I think I began would be better than inversion began I...I know it was poetic inversion, but my reading flow just hiccoughed a bit on that line.
Otherwise good =]
