Distorted Image

Distorted Image

A Poem by Courtney

Tired of guilt
Comes after the greed
Walls which were built
A wish to be freed

A friend turned to black
A love now to hate
Facade gain to crack
Turns dread a fate

Control once was yours
The ball in your court
To close are the doors
True image distort

Look in the mirror
And what do you see?
Image ne'er clearer
Turns tragedy

Was beautiful past
Now you see flaw
Hate seems to blast
Edges be raw

Perfection desire
Unreachable feat
Lighting the fire
A need to eat

As you sit in the corner
And stare at the wall
Covering adorner
Was never beauty at all.

Another wonderful job!

i suggest changing it to "turns dread to a fate" for a smoother read. Other than little things like that, this is a nice little poem.
